Bio

I am an assistant professor at the University of Arizona in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. and the Deputry Director of the Arizona Research Center for Hypersonics. I am the director of the Boundary-Layer Stability and Transition Laboratory where my team performs experiments on the stability and laminar-turbulent transition of primarily supersonic and hypersonic boundary layers.

I was previously a postdoctoral research associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Physics Division. There, I performed experiments studying the stability of stratified fluid interfaces under the influence of shock waves as part of the Extreme Fluids Team. This work finds application in diverse fields such as energy, aerospace, and astrophysics.

I hold a doctorate in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University where I was a member of the National Aerothermochemistry Laboratory and part of the National Center for Hypersonic Laminar-Turbulent Transition Research. I was also a member of the Flight Research Laboratory and participated in experiments at the low-speed Klebanoff-Saric Wind Tunnel.
